We purchased an income property this past winter. Initially we plan to rent to others but will eventually move our in-laws into the house. We wanted to make sure that we were not only making the space comfortable for the new tenants, but also wanted to ensure that the finishes would also be suitable for the long-term for our parents.
When it comes to an old kitchen, there are a few ways to do that. We thought about rebuilding from scratch. It became quickly apparent that those costs were far higher than our budget. We thought about finding an alternative via Facebook Marketplace. The quality was simply not there and it would not have been an ideal fit.
Then we heard that we could refinish the cabinets. I was skeptical at first but after speaking with Ellen at Revivitall, my doubts were very quickly put to rest.
We met that week on site. She measured the kitchen, we spoke about paint colour, finish, durability, etc. She had a chip book in hand as well as a sample of the satin finish they use. We had our colour in mind already but it was immediately apparent that I was not only dealing with someone who is technically proficient but also has the creative vision to help with colour selection.
We made our deposit right away. Not simply because the level of service was obviously above par, but the price point was far better than we could have ever imagined.
Ellen and a team member were back on our agreed upon date. They removed all doors and hardware and were gone within hours. A week or so later, back to paint the exterior cabinets. A week or so after that, we had painted doors.
I was away on business while this was happening. The team let themselves in, did an impeccable job and left without a spot of paint anywhere.
It's honestly a convergence of art and science. What you end up with is an absolutely stunning kitchen - the before and after will shock you.
Thanks Revivitall! We continue to recommend your great work.
